About the ICI
The ICI provides professional coffee industry classes. Nicole Bluto is an Authorized SCA trainer with the Specialty Coffee Institute and is also a Q arabica grader licensed by the Coffee Quality Institute, as well as the SCA, holding the new Evolved Q certification.
Moscow Idaho
Moscow is a scenic destination, minutes from the Moscow-Pullman Airport, an hour and a half south of the Spokane airport, nestled between University of Idaho and Washington State University. There is an adorable downtown with dining, music and shopping. Every Saturday from May - October you can enjoy a bustling farmer's market. The best in the state.
Lodging
The major hotels nearby are The Best Western and La Quinta Inn and the Monarch is an updated Motel in the middle of the Downtown corridor. There are a large number of adorable Air B&B's as well.

Sensory Foundations and Intermediate
Foundations: Master the SCA Flavor Wheel, learn professional cupping protocol and using the new CVA form.
Intermediate: Sharper discrimination, detecting defects in coffee, triangulation and scoring.

Intro to Cupping
This workshop launches the SCA’s groundbreaking cupping program. Designed for absolute beginners, it creates a supportive space to learn professional tasting techniques. No experience needed

Intro to Specialty Coffee
For groups, afficionados and anyone interested in the way we use our senses to enjoy coffee, how coffee is grown and roasted and tasted. This class is about an hour , includes 3 coffees and is given in the lab or can be presented at any location. This class is by appointment only.
