Part-Time Barista (with Growth to Full-Time)

We are looking for a passionate, driven individual to join our team as a part-time barista. If you love coffee, thrive on human connection, and want a career path with real growth potential, we want to talk to you.

The Opportunity
This isn’t just a shift-work gig—it’s an entry point into a professional coffee career. While this position starts part-time, we are actively looking for someone who wants to grow with us into a full-time role as our operations expand.


As a member of the Half Mile team, you will receive world-class, hands-on training at our Specialty Coffee School. You’ll learn everything from advanced extraction mechanics and technical sensory evaluation to the nuances of specialty sourcing and roasting. We invest heavily in our team’s education to prepare you for future leadership opportunities within the company.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Deliver Genuine Hospitality: Welcome every guest with warmth, enthusiasm, and a service-first mindset. Create a space where regulars and first-timers alike feel valued.

Craft Quality Beverages: Pull shots, steam milk, and prepare signature drinks to our exact quality standards, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.

Share Coffee Knowledge: Engage with customers about our coffee offerings, flavor profiles, and brewing methods without pretension.

Commit to Continuous Learning: Actively participate in our specialty coffee curriculum, mastering technical skills and industry knowledge.

Maintain the Space: Keep the coffee bar clean, organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing, adhering to all health and safety standards.

Contribute to Innovation: Bring your energy, ideas, and a collaborative spirit to help us constantly refine our workflow and customer experience.
